Re-Ment makes various blind boxes with cute little items, scenes or words of a multitude of IPs. This series is called “Kirby & Words” featuring Nintendo’s Kirby with stylish letters spelling out words. The set exists out of 6 different words.
Each word comes in a blind box. Each box depicts the whole set and it’ll be a surprise which one you get.
On the back are all the different words you can get.
Inside the box you’ll find your word wrapped in plastic.
I got 1/6.
#2 Kirby
Kirby is a 3D pixel or voxel word of Kirby, with a sprite pixel Kirby on a Warp Star flying by.
The branding is on the back of the K, reading in raised font: ©N/H R-M.
Re-ment has done many of these words now, with Rilakkuma, Snoopy, Miffy and now Kirby. I suppose they make for cute décor here and there, but I’m not particular fond of them, despite being nice IPs.
However, I figured this retro Kirby sign would look cute with my old games. Not a huge fan of voxels, but this one looked cute and nice. So I bought it.
The back of Kirby is a nice touch. And the Kirby sprite does look exactly as it does in-game.
Wish they had used the Kirby logo for the letters, but I understand the round letters might have been hard to do. I can’t find this exact font either, but it could be in one of the HUD or menu’s of the SNES games perhaps.
Overall, it’s a cute little sign that looks well on my game shelf.
If you like merchandise you can use as décor, or Kirby, you’ll like these words.
If you prefer more traditional figures, you’ll give these a miss.
