This is a Gachapon set of a Crayon Shin-Chan x Sanrio collaboration. It is also part of a Gashapon series called “narabundesu” or “lined up” by Bandai. Several IPs have gotten this treatment, existing out of characters walking in a line.
Crayon Shin-Chan is a Japanese Manga series that also got an anime and is broadcasted worldwide.
In this collaboration, the characters of Crayon Shin-Chan have Sanrio character accessories, and the Sanrio characters wear their respective Crayon Shin-Chan’s character clothing.
They come in small, orange Gachapon capsules from a Gachapon machine. Despite being somewhat transparent, it’s hard to see what you have due to the small size and large leaflet covering most of the figure.
Each figure has a separate stand and is wrapped in plastic, and comes with a coloured leaflet.
10 different figures can be collected, 5 from Crayon Shin-Chan, and 5 from Sanrio.
I got 3/10.
Bo Suzuki ボーちゃん
Bo Suzuki (ボーちゃん) is paired with Pompompurin (ポムポムプリン), so he is wearing Pompompurin’s ears and hat and tail, and carries a Pompompurin face pochette with a shoulder strap. Furthermore he’s wearing a red T-shirt and purple pants, with white socks and purple shoes. He is in a running pose, with his right leg and left hand forward, and his left leg and right hand backwards. He has his iconic vertical oval shaped head and his iconic sniffle dripping from his nose. He has an open mouth 😮 expression, presuming from the running.

Pompompurin ポムポムプリン
Pompompurin (ポムポムプリン) is paired with Bo Suzuki (ボーちゃん), so he is wearing Bo’s red shirt and purple pants. He is in a running pose, with his right leg and left hand forward, and his left leg and right hand backwards. He has his iconic beret on but you can’t see his * butt due to the pants. He has a happy 3-shaped mouth.

Masao Sato (マサオ)
Masao Sato (マサオ), also known as Max in Dutch, is paired with Keroppi (けろけろけろっぴ), so he is wearing a Keroppi cap, and carries a Keroppi face pochette with a shoulder strap. Furthermore he’s wearing a green T-shirt and blue pants, with white socks and blue shoes. He is in a falling pose, landing on his stomach, with his arms stretched forward. He has his iconic horizontal oval shaped head and his iconic buzz cut. He has an open mouth and pained >< expression, as he’s falling.

My local Gachapon shop got these in, and I thought they looked quite funny and iconic.
Both Shin-chan and Hello Kitty are well known and I grew up with, so I wanted to get one of them. So we gave it a try.
Alas, I got Bo. Probably one of my least favourite due to his constant snot situation… When we visited again, there wasn’t anything new yet, so we tried again. This time I got Pompompurin and Masao.
If anyone would like to trade or buy them let me know.
If you like Crayon Shin-Chan, or Sanrio, you’ll like these. They are highly detailed and in nice poses.
If you don’t like these franchises or don’t like collabs, you’ll probably give these a miss.
