This is a Gashapon set of Dragon Ball artwork in mini frames made by Bandai. The art work are all drawn by Akira Toriyama and were used as the cover images of the Manga.
They come in orange transparent balls so you can see which one you got without opening it.
Each frame is individually wrapped in plastic, and comes with a large, colour leaflet.
Each frame has a little kickstand so it can stand upright on its own.
There are 8 different designs to collect.
I got 5/8.

My local Gashapon store got these Dragonball Super Gashapon in now, so of course I had to have them. I love Akira Toriyama’s art, and I thought the little frames would also be cute in diorama’s or on my wall.
I’m not sure why it’s called Dragonball Super, seeing as none of the artwork is from Super, but I guess it’s simply because that’s the latest Dragonball and marketing is going with that.
The artwork is nicely framed in a floating box style, and the little stand is handy. I wish it was also a magnet or had a little hook on the back. Or perhaps even smaller so it fits better in diorama’s and looks even cuter. But they are great little artworks as is.
I’m trying to get the full set. The machine is now almost empty though, so not sure I will manage. I have a few double too, which I’m hoping to trade or sell off. If you like to trade, let me know.
If you love Dragonball, or Akira Toriyama’s classic artwork, you’ll like these.
But if you prefer other merchandise, you’ll give these a miss.
Got any more details / information you think I should add? Or did I get something wrong? Do you own these frames? Do you agree or disagree with my findings? Let me know in the comments below!
