These are a variant on the Tenori Friends by Bandai, Mofumofu Tenori Friends. The difference is these are flocked.
There are several lines of Tenori Friends, depicting cute animals that fit in the palm of your hand. The Mofumofu line are these with flocking, making them soft.
They come in boxes, but aren’t blind boxes. The creature inside is prominent on the front, with all the options on the back. The figure inside is within plastic.
Only 2 lines of Mofumofu Tenori Friends are out so far, creating 17 critters to collect.

This set exists out of 8 rodents; Hamster, Squirrel, Hamster lying on its back, Flying Squirrel, Guinea Pig, Chinchilla, White Rabbit and a Lop Eared Rabbit.

2) Squirrel
The squirrel looks to be a Siberian Chipmunk, brown with four white stripes and five dark stripes running along its back and a fluffy tail. Its cheeks are filled and puffy, and it looks slightly to the left. It’s standing upright, with its front paws on its chest and its tail nicely curled upwards. It is a flocked figure, so it’s soft to touch. The branding is on the bottom of the figure and reads in grey print: ©BANDAI B. the 4 dots of Bandai 2745868 08572.
As a child I had Siberian Chipmunks as pets. These critters still hold a soft spot for me. So when I saw this figure of the Squirrel I had to have it. I knew there were birds, but I hadn’t seen this set before.
I like flocked figures, so this was a nice bonus. The figure is super cute, with an extra bushy tail and chibi-fied proportions. It stands on my shelf overlooking my desk now.
These figures are adorable and not too expensive. I like that they are not blind boxes either, you can easily get the one you want.
If you like cute animal or flocked figures, these are great.
