Barcode: 72-10180-101

Pikachu has his iconic colours although the black ear tips and facial features are of a dark brown rather than black. His red cheeks are also slightly lighter than normal. He has embroidered face features, with closed eyes and a 3 mouth. Proportion wise I think his face features are off. His mouth is too big. I feel like his cheeks are too big too, and the placements of his eyes and cheeks feels off.

This Pikachu is in a laying position, hence the “relaxing” name. He’s incredibly soft, with a medium pile and a very loose pallet filling. The paws have pallets in it too, giving it some weight and making them floppy. The tail is filled with something soft and flat, I’m guessing foam. His front paws are attached to his face by a simple string.

It has quite long and several tush tags in the center of its bum, which have the standard Pokémon Center info on it with the Pokéball logo, Pokémon Center, year (©2021) and the usual copyrights. Attached on a tiny loop underneath these is the tag, which is quite large and has a basic Pokéball design on the front, and the usual Pokémon Center info on the back, as well as the line of plush, the name of the plush and barcode. This is the UK version.
When these arrived on the UK Pokémon Center store, I didn’t realise it was an old plush. I’m guessing because 2025 is the year of Eevee, and there’s an Eevee in this line up, they brought these back. I had completely missed them back in 2021, but the UK only just got a Pokémon Center then and probably just missed this release.
I collect sleeping Pikachu, so I kinda had to have this one. However, I don’t like its face. Even on the stock photo it looked off. I simply hoped the stock photo looked worse than it was. And it does look better in real life, but the face is still off. The body though is perfect. Its little dangly feet are adorable, and if you make him stand up and imagine its front paws down, it looks spot on. I wish they remade this plush with a better head!
The plush is also incredibly soft! It’s similar to the Comfy Friends, although they are still the softest.
They retail for £23, which I think is a very fair price considering their quality and size.
I’m still contemplating if I should release its front paws…
If you like sleepy Pokémon plush, or very soft plush, these are nice.
