Gundam Color Miniature Swing Collection – Bandai

Gundam Color Miniature Swing Collection by Bandai

Company: Bandai

Release date: 2024

Size: 2cm

Main distribution: Japan / UK (Gashapon machines)

This is a Gashapon series of little paint pots from Mr. Hobby used to paint figures like Gundam. This is a miniature version of the real thing on a keychain.

The keychains can be obtained through a Gashapon machine. They come in transparent coloured balls, and the colour of the ball matches the colour of paint pot, so you can see which one you have prior to opening it.

I know quite a few people who paint mini’s, and always wanted to try the hobby. I have 2 coworkers who did a painting session and I managed to paint a little Warhammer figure.

When I saw these, I bought 2 to gift them as a thank you. I know Gundam is not Warhammer, but the little paint pots are close enough. It’s just a silly little gift after all.

I think it’s fun to have one, but I don’t see the point in having a full set. They are all the same after all, just with a different colour. But perhaps it’s because I’m not part of this hobby / fandom that I don’t see the appeal.

If you like painting mini’s, or miniatures of real items, I think this is a fun little keychain.
If you’re not into that, I don’t think this one is for you.

Got any more details / information? Did I get something wrong? Do you own the same figures or the full set? Let me know in the comments below!
