It’s always nice to have a 3D rendition of your favourite game characters to physically hold in your hand. And this Nintendo line has many, in various sizes. I prefer the bigger 4″ figures, but some of the smaller ones are great to keep things in scale. In particular smaller characters I tend to grab in 2.5″, as this somewhat scales correctly with the 4″.

Goombas are like half of Mario’s height after all, and one of my favourite enemies, so I grabbed both variants. Cheep Cheep is a cool one as well. And of course Baby Mario has to be smaller than Mario. I wish he was in his diaper though from Yoshi’s Island, but I don’t think we’ll ever get that variant sadly. I try to stick with the Super Mario World and Yoshi’s Island cast as those are my favourite Mario games from the Super Famicom / SNES.

It’s amazing how many different figures have been made in this line, and although I’ll never go for them all, I’m glad there’s such a variety to choose from. For now I’ll just grab my favourite small guys.

My only pet peeve is all the import information on the UK figures…

If you like Nintendo, Mario and small figures, you’ll love these.
If you prefer bigger figures, you’ll give these a miss.

Got any more details / information you think I should add? Or did I get something wrong? Do you own any of these figures? Which one is your fav? Do you agree or disagree with my findings? Let me know in the comments below!
