This is a gashapon set of flocked otter figures that can hold hands together.
The otters come in transparent blue with glitter capsules that are shaped like a shell, so you can see which one you got without opening it. These are also fully wrapped in plastic.
Each capsule feels part of the toy, due to how unique and pretty they are.
Each otter is individually wrapped in plastic, and comes with a full colour leaflet.
There are 4 otters to collect; Marimo, Peaches, Yuzu and Sky. Each otter is the same but with different colourings, and all are flocked.
Marimo
Marimo is a soft brown otter and has a green shell, hence its name (marimo is a moss ball). It’s laying on its back with its feet up and its hands spread, eager to grab a friend.
Yuzu
Yuzu is a light grey otter and has a yellow shell, hence its name (yuzu is a citrus). It’s laying on its back with its feet up and its hands spread, eager to grab a friend.
The otters can hold hands and slot perfectly into one another.
I love otters and their handholding so they don’t drift away when sleeping. They are just so cute! When I saw these initially I hesitated and missed out on them, and have regretted that since. So when I found them again in Sydney, in the back of a boba tea shop in China Town, I had to get them.
We decided to get 2, to represent us. After some drama with the machine (it broke!) we managed to get someone to open it and give us two random ones. One for me and one for my husband. I’m pleased we didn’t get a double.
Their names are so cute too. I just love them. They sit on our shelf now holding hands forever.
If you like otters or cute figures, this series is great.
