Company: Bluebird
Release date: 1995-1999
Size: various
Main distribution: Europe / America
The Tiny Collection are a bunch of playsets existing out of compacts with tiny dolls, much like Polly Pocket and also made by Bluebird. Little buildings and larger playsets were also made, as well as extra’s / expansion sets.
I prefer the compacts, so you’ll most likely won’t find the buildings or larger sets here.
Open up a world of fun surprises!

When I was a kid, I was a massive fan of the Lion King. My aunt bought me the Lion King Playcase for me and it is one of my favourite toys. I took it with me whenever I was staying over at my aunt or grandparents, where there were no other cousins to play with, and spent hours playing with myself having adventures with Simba and co.
I casually started looking out for the other Disney Playcases. I like the compacts, not so much the buildings. I managed to find a few cheap, and even managed to complete some by finding loose figures. I’m still missing some pieces to these. I even got the wrong Aladdin figures with my set. I have no intention of getting Jasmine’s Royal Palace, so I’ll just use the figures as extra’s in the Aladdin Playcase. I wouldn’t mind getting all the compacts, but the Donald Duck one is crazy expensive, let alone complete, so I guess that’s not going to happen any time soon.
Much like Polly Pocket, it’s fun to keep an eye out for these. If anyone has the missing bits to mine, do let me know.
If you like Disney, tiny things, little scenes and cute playsets, these are great for you.
They can be expensive though, especially complete.
If you like bigger toys, these won’t be for you.
Got any more details / information you think I should add? Or did I get something wrong? Do you own any of the Tiny Collection? Which one is your fav? Do you agree or disagree with my findings? Let me know in the comments below!
