Full Color R is a series of Gashapon sets of small figures on a transparant black base with a logo / symbol. They came out of a Gashapon machine in a capsule. Several IPs were done in this style, including Dragonball Z, Naruto, One Piece and Capcom All Stars. They were made by Bandai, and some were later redistributed by AB Groupe in Europe, where they were rebranded as some collection. Here you will find the Dragonball Z ones. 5 parts were made of 10 figures, resulting in 50 figures total.

These figurines, also known as the “Super Guerriers” (Super Warriors) or 2″ figures, were made by the AB Groupe. AB Groupe (now Mediawan Thematics) is a French broadcasting group, and the distributor of the Dragon Ball merchandise for European and Canadian markets. They made the English dub for the Dragon Ball Z movies in the Netherlands (based of their French dub), with awkward changes like Piccolo being “Big Green” and the Saiyans “Space Warriors”. As terrible as that dub was, their toys were one of the first you could get in Europe. Here you’ll find the mini figures of them. They made 186 different ones, which later got re-releases under KidzBiz, Giochi Preziosi and Irwin Toy.

This is a very special collaboration between Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Naruto to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Weekly Shōnen Jump. The 3 animes are the biggest and most popular and are also called the DON of anime. This blind box set is called 3×3, as it’s 3 animes, with 3 characters. Each of the 3 character figures slots together to create a semicircle, and there is a 4th bigger figure on a semicircle to go behind it, creating a full circle scene of the show.

This a series of chibi Dragonball characters made by Bandai. They are about 3 heads tall rather than 2. They all come on a black base which has the character’s name on it. Deformation relates to the chibi nature of the figures, as chibi is also often called SD or Super Deformed. These came in blind boxes so it would be a surprise which one you would get.

The HG series is a series of Gashapon sets of small Dragonball figures. Most you had to build as they came in pieces. HG stands for ‘High Grade’. They came out of a Gashapon machine in a capsule, although some come in boxes I believe. They were made by Bandai, and later redistributed by AB Groupe in Europe, where they were called Maxi Collection. Several series were made resulting in over 300+ figures including colour variants, and is still ongoing now. What’s cool about these is is that they are in scale with one another.
